Allen R. Adair

Allen Ross Adair, age 70, of Elwood, passed away after a short illness on Thursday, August 22, 2024 at Compassus Hospice in Indianapolis.

He was born in Logansport on September 16, 1953, to the late Clifford and Mary (Likens) Adair. On May 14, 1993, he married Connie Carter and they shared 31 years of marriage. Allen loved his wife and was dedicated to taking care of Connie during her cancer treatments.

Allen was self-employed and worked as a mechanic from a young age. He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion Post 53 & 95 and an American Legion Rider. He loved Riding his Harley, camping at Hoosierland Campground, and being with his friends and family. He would work on cars, golf carts, and motorcycles. He also enjoyed fishing and just being outdoors.

Allen is survived by his Wife, Connie Adair of Elwood, IN; Son, Kenneth Allen Adair of Elwood, IN; several cousins; several nieces and nephews; his Hoosierland family; and special friends, Amy Jordan and Frank Hardwick.

Allen was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be Tuesday, August 27, 2024, 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm, at Dunnichay Funeral Home, 1113 S. Anderson Street, Elwood, Indiana.

A celebration of life will be at 6:00 pm Tuesday, August 27, 2024 at Dunnichay Funeral Home, Elwood, Indiana with Scott Blaylock officiating. The family has chosen cremation to follow the services.
