Candie N Rice Obituary (1962 - 2022)

Candie N. Rice, age 60, of Anderson and formerly of Elwood passed away on Tuesday, November 1, 2022. She was born in Elwood on May 6, 1962, the daughter of the late Willard and Helen (Kelly) Rice. Candie enjoyed living in Tennessee raising her three sons and they would often spend time at Norris Reservoir as a family making many wonderful memories. While living in Elwood, Candie was a former member of Joy Christian Church and was employed at Wolff's Restaurant and Bar for many years. She enjoyed cooking and sharing a nice meal with her family. Candie loved being with fur-baby "Bella", gardening, and more than anything loved being with family. Candie is survived by her three sons, Christopher McCarty, Deric (wife Alyssa) McCarty, and Jared (wife Brittany) McCarty; six grandchildren, Adam, Michael, Logan, Jasmine, Amara, and Sunny; two great-grandchildren, and one great-grandchild on the way; four siblings, Freda Alleman, Wilma Arehart, Peggy Bixby, and Wally Rice; former spouse, Mark Richards; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Candie was preceded in death by four siblings, Rodney Rice, Louise Rice, Trish Rice, and Kathy Kelly; two nieces, Melissa Kelly, and Angie Kelly; nephew, Heath Kelly, and great nephew, Cody Price. In accordance with Candie's wishes cremation will take place and memorial visitation will be held from 11 am to 1 pm on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at Dunnichay Funeral Home 1113 South Anderson Street Elwood, IN 46036.
