Charles Roy Idlewine

Charles Roy Idlewine, age 24, of San Diego and formerly of Frankton, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, November 26, 2015 in San Diego. Charles was born on December 14, 1990, in Noblesville to Charles B. Idlewine, Jr. and Pamela (Mullens) Idlewine. Charles graduated from Frankton High School in 2009, and then enlisted in the US Navy where he received his bachelors degree in nuclear technology. He served in the Navy for six years. Charles enjoyed the outdoors especially visiting the beaches. Charles will be greatly missed by his surviving family which includes, mother, Pamela Idlewine of Anderson, father, Charles B. Idlewine, Jr. of Frankton, sister, Shelby Idlewine of Elwood, grandparents, Ernest & Edith Mullens of Frankton, aunt, Heidi Gwinn of Elwood, aunt & uncle, Sam & Mary Lou Taylor of Anderson, cousin, James Taylor of Huntington, and cousin, Morgan Taylor of Frankton.
Charles was preceded in death by his grandparents, Charles & Judy Idlewine, aunt, Molly Raines, and cousin Baretta Idlewine.
A celebration of life funeral service will be at 11:00 am Saturday, December 5, 2015, at Dunnichay Funeral Home, Elwood, with Rev. Jerry Synder officiating. Burial will follow in the K. of P. and I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Frankton with the US Navy and the Elwood VFW American Honor Guard conducting graveside services. Visitation will be Friday, December 4, 2015, from 4 pm - 8 pm, at Dunnichay Funeral Home, 1113 S. Anderson Street, Elwood, Indiana.
