Charles R "Bud" Wilkerson Obituary (1956 - 2016)

Charles R. "Bud" Wilkerson, age 60, life long resident of Elwood, passed away on Saturday, November 5, 2016 at St. Vincent Hospice following an extended illness. Bud was born on July 12, 1956, in Elwood the son of Morris and Carrie (Elmore) Wilkerson. Bud retired as a Guard from Pendleton Reformatory and he was a veteran serving in the Army National Guard. Bud enjoyed working in his yard,tinkering with his tools fixing things in his garage. His grandchildren was his life he loved spending time with them. Bud is survived by his Daughter, Brandi Wilkerson of Elwood, Grandchildren, Camden Wilkerson, Kyle Wilkerson, and Star Davidson, Sister, Janet (Jerry) Wood of Elwood, Brothers, Kevin Wilkerson and Rodney Wilkerson, Special Friend, Deborah Wilkerson, Brother-in-law, Charles "Chuck" Gerhard, Lifelong friend, Dave Foor, several nieces & nephews. Charles was preceded in death by Father, Morris Wilkerson, Mother, Carrie Luyet, Daughter, Kayla Davidson, two sisters Theresa Dowler and Margaret Arehart, and nephew Jacob Dowler. Funeral service celebrating Bud's life will be at 4:00 PM, Wednesday, November 9, 2016, at Dunnichay Funeral Home. Burial will be at a later date at Brookside Cemetery in Windfall. Visitation will be Wednesday from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to offset expenses.
