Charlotte R (Gall) Richwine Obituary (1923 - 2017)

Charlotte Richwine, age 93, of Elwood, passed away on Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at Community Parkview Health & Living. She was born in Tipton on November 7, 1923, to the late Albert and Lillian (Peters) Gall. Charlotte was a graduate of St. Joseph Academy in Tipton. On March 3, 1943 she married Robert Richwine and he preceded her in death on March 3, 2001. In 2004 she married Jim Stroup and he preceded her in death. Charlotte retired from JCPenney in Elwood after 15 years of service. She was a faithful member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, the St. Ann Study Club, she worked at the Help Room every Monday for many years, and was a member of the Altar & Rosary Society. Charlotte is survived by her three sons, Steve (wife Judy Sizelove ) Richwine of Greenfield, Denny (wife Sherry Taylor) Richwine of Anderson, Mark (wife Brenda Lynas ) Richwine of SC, three daughters, Becky (husband Dave) Lewis of FL, Roberta (husband Mike) Hankley of Elwood, Ann Coubert of Elwood, 12 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and two great- great -grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, Robert Richwine, and Jim Stroup, grandson, John Hankley, son-in-law, Dave Coubert, one brother, and two sisters. Charlotte is also remembered by special friend and caregiver Patti Miller. The family would like to thank all the people who took great care of Charlotte at Community Parkview Health and Living. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, February 18, 2017 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Elwood, Indiana with Father Dan Duff officiating. Entombment will follow in the Elwood City Cemetery Mausoleum. Visitation for family and friends will be Friday, February 17, 2017, 3:00 pm - 8:00 pm, at Dunnichay Funeral Home, 1113 South Anderson Street, Elwood, Indiana. The rosary will be recited at 7pm on Friday at the funeral home.
