Cheryl K (Hall) Turbeville Obituary (1960 - 2017)

Cheryl K. (Hall) Turbeville, age 56, of Elwood, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at her residence. She was born on August 11, 1960 in Elwood, to the late Carl Hall and Sheila (Baldwin) Shockency. Cheryl was a graduate of Elwood Community High School. She formerly worked in production at Elsa Corporation in Elwood. She loved to play bingo and go to Hosier Park. She formerly enjoyed driving race cars in Powder Puff racing events, and also enjoyed cooking and gardening. Cheryl loved to spend time with her family and enjoyed talking on the phone to family and friends. She will be sadly missed, but lovingly remembered by all who knew her. Cheryl is survived by her daughter, Sheila Talley, granddaughter, TaJera McCants, grandson, Martavious McCants, 2 brothers, Martin Hall and Lee Hall, 2 half-sisters, Renita Turner and Kim (Billy) Krosby, aunt, Marilyn Reason, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Cheryl was preceded in death by her father, Carl W Hall, mother, Sheila K Shockency, and sister, Mary Haddock. Funeral service will be at 2:00PM, Friday, June 9, 2017 at Dunnichay Funeral Home in Elwood with Robert Poffenbarger officiating. Burial will follow in the Elwood City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from Noon to 2:00 PM , Friday, June 9, 2017 at Dunnichay Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association through the funeral home.
