Christophe Thierion De Monclin Obituary (1974 - 2021)

Christophe Thierion de Monclin, age 46, of Fishers, unexpectedly departed on July 22, 2021. Death takes nothing. It simply ends the possibility of more. All the moments he shared, all the kisses, all the laughs, all the thrills, every little thing, every nuance -- death cannot take those. Chris was a man like few exist and will be remembered by many. He had friends on many continents. Chris was born in Ebingen, Germany, on August 9, 1974, the son of Andre and Michele and brother to Geoffroy, Hughes, Thibaut, and Sophie. He was preceded in death by his father and Geoffroy and Hugues. Chris grew up in Lyon, France. On December 31, 1998, Chris met Carole. Five months later, they were engaged, and they got married on November 26, 1999. He was a devoted father, a fantastic husband, and a true friend. Chris leaves a legacy of love and kindness through his wife, Carole; and his sons, Sean and Alec. Like him, they want to become engineers. He loved his family more than anything and was proud of his boys. He gave his widow the gift of love and to pursue her dreams. He traveled the world. The family started in France, meandered in Australia for a year, and settled in the US eight years ago. He loved European graphic novels, hiking, and making new experiences. He walked with lions, abseiled in the rainforest, and swam with dolphins. Lately, he discovered pickleball. He loved playing with Carole. But it was more than a sport. It was an instant family. He was a well-respected opponent and friend on and off the courts. He loved the competition and the thrill of a close game. He worked at Roche for 20 years. He loved his job, but most of all, he loved his colleagues scattered all over the planet. A celebration of Chris's life will be held on Saturday, July 31, 2021 at Holy Spirit Parish at Geist, 10350 Glaser Way, Fishers, IN 46037. Friends and family may pay respects from 1pm until the mass at 2pm. Starting at 3pm, family and friends will gather to share stories and memories of Chris.
