Cora L (Daulton) Hinds Obituary (1922 - 2015)

Cora L. Hinds, age 93, of Atlanta, IN, and formerly of Elwood passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 21, 2015, at her daughters residence following an extended illness. Cora was born on February 15, 1922, in Elwood to the late Charles and Alice (Hopple) Daulton. She married Loyd Hinds in 1939; they shared 37 years of marriage together before he passed away in 1976. Cora retired as a cook from several nursing homes in the Arcadia and Elwood area. Cora enjoyed spending her time baking, flowers, and you would see her tending to her garden. She loved children and all of the neighbors children. Cora's greatest joy was spending time with her family. Cora is survived by her loving Daughter, Aneta (Ron) Stewart of Fortville, Two Grandchildren & One Great Grandson Cora was preceded in death by her Husband, Loyd Hinds, Father, Charles Daulton, Mother, Alice Daulton and several brothers & sisters. A Celebration of Life Funeral service will be at 11:00 am Saturday, October 24, 2015, at Dunnichay Funeral Home, Elwood, with Rev. Larry Schimmel officiating. Burial will follow in the Elwood Cemetery. Visitation for family & friends will be on Friday, from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm, at Dunnichay Funeral Home, 1113 S. Anderson Street, Elwood, Indiana. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions to the Kidney Foundation through the funeral home.
