David L. Cline

David Lee Cline, age 70, of Elwood, passed away on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at St. Vincent Mercy Hospital following a brief illness.He was born in Elwood on January 29, 1954, to the late Ray and Mary (Stickler) Cline.

David graduated from Elwood High School with the class of 1976 and retired from Excello Corp. after several years of service. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, working on cars, and simply spending time in the great outdoors. More than anything, David enjoyed spending time with family, especially his grandchildren.

David is survived by his loving daughters, Lindsay (Kenny) Mitchell of Elwood, Kirsten Davis (Rodney)of Anderson, and Kara Hunt of Elwood; sisters, Dawn (Michael) Durm of Elwood, Shirley (William) Phillips of Greenfield, and Diana (Rudy) DeLaRosa; brothers, Richard Cline of Greenfield, Gary Cline of Elwood, and Jim (Joyce) Cline of Elwood; brother-in-law, Randall Green of Elwood; nine grandchildren, Kaleb Cox, Megan (Chad) Cline, Brittany Cox, Morgan (Aaron) Cline, Madison (Christian) Mitchell, Alexia Harris, Joseph Cox, Corbin (Lily) Harris, and Nikki Cox; seven great-grandchildren, Emma, Bryellah and Nikyah Dowler, Oliver Shaw, Easton Mitchell, Eliana Harris, a little on the way, baby girl Kilgore; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

Along with his parents, David was preceded in death by his sister, Cathy Green; brother, Dennis Cline, his beloved ex-wife, Emily Brooks, three nephews William, Ronnie, and Bryan

Visitation is Thursday, November 14, 2024, from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm, at Dunnichay Funeral Home, 1113 S. Anderson Street, Elwood.

A funeral service celebrating David's life will be at 11:00 am Friday, November 15, 2024, at Dunnichay Funeral Home, with Pastor Scott Blaylock officiating. Burial will follow in the Elwood Cemetery.
