Delsie E. Schimmel, age 93, of Alexandria, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 11, 2014 at her residence following an extended illness.Delsie was born on April 5, 1921, in Breeding, KY to the late Charlie and Melissa (Estes) England.On June 22, 1952, she married the love of her life Floyd L. Schimmel he passed away on June 3, 2014. Delsie retired from Delco Remy after 27 years of service.She was a member of the U.A.W. #662. Delsie is survived by her Son, Bobby (Judy) Hartman of Pahrump, NV, Daughter in law, LindaHartman of Anderson,Grandchildren, Pam (Bret) Haynes,Jeff Hartman, Melissa Ray, Brian Hartman, Great Grandchildren, Phillip, Melissa, Nathaniel, Anthony, & Eric, Great Great grandchildren, Aiden & Ronnie, Sister in law, Rose (Everett) Stiner of Elwood, Brother in law, Jack (Wilma) Schimmel of Elwood, Brother in law, Larry(Janet) Schimmel of Elwood, Several nieces & nephews. Delsie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Son, Carlos Hartman, Brothers, Porter, Elem, Glydus, Ores, & Robert England, Sister, Viola Fudge, & Twin Sister, Elsie Fletcher. Funeral service will be at 11:00 am Monday, October 20, 2014, at Dunnichay Funeral Home, Elwood, Indiana with Rev. Larry Schimmel officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park.Visitation will be Sunday, October 19, 2014, from 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm, at Dunnichay Funeral Home, 1113 S. Anderson Street, Elwood, Indiana.
