Dollie L (Snipe) Coy Obituary (1925 - 2016)

Dollie L. (Snipe) Coy, age 90, of Anderson, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 7, 2016 at Trinity Hospital in Bettendorf, Iowa. Dollie was born on September 11, 1925, in Elwood, to the late Roy & Grace(Ervin) Snipe. Dollie graduated from Wendell L. Wilkie High School in 1943. On July 17, 1949 Dollie married Jean Robert Coy and they enjoyed 67 years of marriage together. Jean passed away on May 6, 2016. Dollie retired from ATT Phone company in 1981. Dollie was a faithful member of the 1st United Methodist Church in Anderson. She was also a member of the Lady Elks & Bridge Club. She was a past member of the Elwood Country Club, and was a member of Kappa Delta Phi Sorority. Dollie is survived by nine Nieces, four Nephews, and numerous cousins, and numerous great nieces & nephews. Dollie was preceded in death by her Parents, and Husband, Jean R. Coy. Funeral service celebrating Dollie's life will be held at the Dunnichay Funeral Home on Saturday, July 16, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. Visitation for family and friends will be from 11:00-1:00 P.M. on Saturday, July 16, at the Dunnichay Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Taylor officiating. Entombment will follow in the Elwood Mausoleum.
