Dorcus E (Wampler) Hayes

Dorcas E. Hayes, age 83, of Alexandria, passed away on Thursday, December 3, 2015 at St. Vincent Seton Specialty Hospital in Indianapolis. Dorcas was born on October 24, 1932, in Wabash, IN to the late Elmer and Bessie (Collins) Wampler.
Dorcas graduated from Wabash High School in 1950. She married Dallas Hayes on June 12,1955 and they have shared 60 years of marriage. Dorcas formerly worked at RCA in Marion, In. for several years.
Dorcas attended the Nazarene Church in Alexandria. In her spare time she enjoyed shopping, traveling, sewing and crocheting.
Dorcas is survived by her loving Husband, of 60 years, Dallas Hayes of Alexandria, Son, Barry (Sharon) Hayes of Frankton, Grandson, Dennis Hayes of Anderson, IN, three Sisters, Barbara Steller of Elwood, Marilyn Slagle of Pella, IA, and Bonita Michael of Kokomo, a Brother, Jim Wampler of Warsaw, IN, several nieces & nephews.
Dorcas was preceded in death by her Father, Elmer Wampler, Mother, Bessie Wampler and Brother, Don Wampler.
A celebration of life funeral service will be at 11 AM, Tuesday, Dec. 8, 2015, at Harper & Dunnichay Funeral Home in Frankton with Pastor Mark Diemer officiating. Burial will follow in the K. of P & I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Frankton. Visitation will be Monday from 4 PM to 8 PM at the funeral home.
