Emily J (Deaton) Brown

Emily J. Brown, age 93, life long resident of Frankton, passed awayWednesday, February 12, 2014, at Community Hospital following a brief illness.
Emily was born August 31, 1920,in Frankton, the daughter of Ezra and Sadie (Clegg) Deaton.
On March 10, 1945 she married Robert M. Brown, he passed away on Dec. 31, 1993.
Emily retired from Frankton- Lapel Schools after many years of service. She was a member of the Bethany Christian Church, Bethany Keenagers and the Eastern Star. Emily enjoyed spending time with her family & friends. She loved to watch basketball and was an avid I.U., Pacers, and especiallyFrankton Eagles fan.
Emily's family includes 2 Daughters, Peggy Farley of Frankton, Betsy & (Tom) Beeman of Anderson; Grandsons, Chris & (Jessica) Farley, Alex & (Nikki) Beeman & Aaron Beeman,Great Grandchildren, Morgann & Bobby Farley; Sister Sadie Post of Frankton; Several nieces & nephews.
Emily was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 3 sisters, Georgia Hartley, Catherine Lee and Freda Parker, and a brother Oliver Deaton.

Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, February 17th, at 11:00 AM, at Harper & Dunnichay Funeral Home with Pastor Robert Bell officiating. Burial will follow at K. of P. & I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
The family will receive friends onSunday From 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the funeral home.
