Ernest V "Snuffy" Lineback Jr Obituary (1939 - 2016)

Ernest V. "Snuffy" Lineback, age 77, life long resident of Elwood, passed away on Monday, October 10, 2016 at his residence. Snuffy was born on April 11, 1939, in Elwood to the late Ernest and Pearl "Isabelle" (Peters) Lineback. Snuffy retired from the City of Elwood after serving more than 20 years on the Elwood Fire Department. He was the owner & operator of Snuffy's Cement Work. He was always active in city politics where he ran for City Council. He enjoyed people and mostly he loved spending time with friends and family. Snuffy is survived by his Daughter, Jennifer (Joe) Lineback-Foor of Elwood, Grandchildren: Danelle Brown, Gina McPhearson, Cameron Foor, Katelyn Foor, Jason Foor, Jacob Foor, and Jennifer Shepard, Great Grandchildren: Trenton Shannon, Makayla McPhearson, Jayden McPhearson, Grant Brown, and Jace Walker, two Sisters, Darlene Spohn of NJ, and Pearl Gardner of Anderson, Special Friend, Diane Smith of Elwood, Several nieces & nephews. Ernest was preceded in death by his Father, Ernest V. Lineback, Mother, Pearl Isabelle Lineback, Daughter & son in law, Annette & Don Julian, and a Brother, James Lineback. Funeral services celebrating Snuffy's life will be at 11:00 am Saturday, October 15, 2016, at Dunnichay Funeral Home, Elwood, Indiana. Burial will follow in Forrestville Cemetery north of Elwood. Visitation will be Friday, from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm, at Dunnichay Funeral Home, 1113 S. Anderson Street, Elwood, Indiana. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Elwood Fire Department through the funeral home.
