Esteleen Kay Burdsall, born on the 25th of April, 1941, in Elwood, Indiana, passed away on the 3rd of April, 2026. Esteleen was a loving and compassionate soul who held a deep and unwavering love for her family. She never met a stranger.
Esteleen met the love of her life, John Burdsall, and they were happily married on the 26th of November, 1959. Their love story began early in High School with understanding, and deep affection, which they passed onto their children. Esteleen is survived by her children, John Mark Burdsall (Lisa), Michael Burdsall (Carolyn) and Tammy (Burdsall) Haisley-Grieser; many grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Esteleen's early life was marked by an commitment to hard work, dedication, and service. She began her career in manufacturing as an assembly worker, at Delco Electronics, weaving her intelligence and passion into every task she undertook. She proudly retired in 1995.
One of Esteleen's greatest sense of pride came from being part of a group who established the Elwood Girl's Softball League in the mid 1970's. She loved watching all of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren participate in sports especially football and wrestling. She always helped them wrestle from the stands and was worn out after a match. She enjoyed watching the Indianapolis Colts on Sundays.
Esteleen was a woman of strength, who faced the loss of her son, Rod Burdsall, and her beloved spouse, John Burdsall. Predeceased by her parents, Harold and Marie Arnold, Esteleen's memory lives on in the hearts of her loved ones.
Esteleen's life will be celebrated on Saturday, the 11th of April, 2026, at the Dunnichay Funeral Home, 1113 South Anderson Street, Elwood, Indiana, 46036.
