Ismael "Jesse" Arana Jr Obituary (1954 - 2020)

Ismael "Jesse" Arana, Jr. age 66, of Elwood, passed away on Sunday, October 4, 2020 at St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital following some recent health issues. He was born in Gary on January 22, 1954, to the late Ismael and Jennie (Perez) Arana, Sr. Jesse was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He was a caregiver to his mother and sisters prior to their deaths. He was a car buff and formerly enjoyed working on them and attending car shows. Jesse is survived by 4 nephews and a niece, Lupe Aleman of Highland, Tina Spak of Gary, Roberto Aleman, of Gary, Rene (Pam) Aleman of North Judson, IL, and Daniel (Corinna)Aleman of Munster. Jesse was preceded in death by his father, Ismael Arana, Sr, mother, Jennie Arana, and 5 sisters, Margaret Arana, Delores Vernon, and Rosemary Arana, Loretta Arana, and Dorothy Aleman. A funeral service will be at 1:00 pm on Thursday, October 8, 2020 at Dunnichay Funeral Home with Father Dennis Goth officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Elwood. Visitation will be held from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm prior to the service at Dunnichay Funeral Home, 1113 S. Anderson St. Elwood, IN 46036. Memorial contributions may be made to Dunnichay Funeral Home.
