Jean F (Hays) Stewart Obituary (1925 - 2016)

JeanF Stewart, age 90, of Elwood, passed away on Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born on September 11, 1925, in Frankton to the late Ray and Margie (Samuels ) Hays. Jean was a 1943 graduate of Frankton High School and a member of the First Missionary Baptist Church in Elwood. On September 16, 1944she married the love of her life MurvelStewart and he passed away on March 4, 1971. Jeanretired in 1990 from Elwood Community School Corporation where she worked in the cafeteria for many years. She was a wonderful cook, baker, and enjoyed reading. More than anything Jean was devoted to her family and will be greatly missed. Jeanis survived by her Daughter, Loretta (Frank) Gosnell,Daughter, Marlena (Mike) Davis, Daughter, Jana (Tim) Robinson, Daughter, Cathy (Mike) Walker, Daughter, Jeanie (Dewayne) Cosby all of Elwood,Son, Jim (Sandy) Stewart of Frankton,Grandchildren, Penny (Troy) Taylor, Frank (Kelly) Gosnell Jr., Stacey (Bob) Woodin, Julie (Joel) Mendenhall, Mike Davis Jr., Matt (Shanna) Davis, Steve (Miranda) Stewart, Jason (Lisa) Stewart, Craig (Katie) Robinson, Troy Robinson, Jeff (Cecilee) Walker, Brent Walker, Kyle Walker, Brandi (Matt) Seibel, Adam (Fiancee Brittani) Cosby, thirty-one great grandchildren, twelve step great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, Sister Arlene Zent, Brother, Jacks Hays, and several nieces and nephews. Jeanwas preceded in death by Father, Ray Hays, Mother, Margie Hays, Husband, Murvel Stewart, Sister, Ruth Stewart, Brothers, Billand Bob Hays, Granddaughters Melissa Davis, and Jama Strunk., Great Grandson Liam Davis. Funeral service will be at 11:00 am Saturday, April 30, 2016 at Dunnichay Funeral Home, Elwood, Indiana with Pastor Rodney Ellisofficiating. Burial will follow in the K of P&I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Frankton. Visitation will be Friday, April 29, 2016, 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm, at Dunnichay Funeral Home, 1113 S. Anderson Street, Elwood, Indiana.
