Jeffery Fetz

–

Frankton, Indiana

Jeffery Lynn Fetz of Frankton left this world on May 12, 2025, at the age of 79.

Jeff began his journey on February 27, 1946, one of thirteen children born to James and Lois Fetz. Following high school, he began a long career as a factory worker for General Motors, and later for Magnaquench, and was a member of the UAW Local 662. After retiring, he also worked part time as a truck driver. On June 12, 1980, Jeff married Rosemary Pring, and they shared over 44 years together.

Jeff was as care-free and light-hearted as they come. Whether venturing cross country with the camper to visit family in Arizona or fishing in the pond out front of the house, he loved life and found happiness wherever he was. He always enjoyed working with his hands, and over the years developed a reputation for woodworking. Jeff cared deeply about others and was ever ready to lend a hand to anyone. He always looked forward to the monthly breakfast at Cracker Barrel with his fellow retirees, and would do anything to support his family, particularly his brothers. More than anything, he loved spending time with his granddaughters, especially baking blueberry pies.

Jeff is survived by his loving wife, Rosemary, and his two sons, Jeff, Jr. (Cindy Gaines) Fetz and Shane Fetz. He is also survived by his sisters, Theresa (Javier) Sanchez, Barbara (Mike) Smith, and Rita (Wayne) Allen; his brothers, Tony (Hazel), Mark (Janet), Terry, Pat (Kathy), Timothy (Tammie), and Kevin (Sharon) Fetz; his granddaughters, Rhiannon (Nathan) Patfield, Kassandra (Conrad) Boyd, and Kristy Fetz; and many, many nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, Jeff was preceded in death by a sister, Janice Lindzy; two brothers, Jimmy and Tommy Fetz; several aunts and uncles; and his beloved puppy, Roxy.

Services for Jeff have been entrusted to Dunnichay Funeral Home of Elwood, Indiana, and have been scheduled for next Tuesday, May 20, 2025. Visitation will be from 11:00am to 1:00pm, with the funeral ceremony beginning at 1:00pm. Jeff is to be cremated following the funeral in accordance with his wishes.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer's Association and Heart of Hoosierland Human Society. The Fetz family also wishes to express their sincere gratitude to Community Hospice and to Sam from Visiting Angels.
