Jerry "Doc" W. Caldwell, age 62, of Elwood, passed away on Monday, September 16, 2013 at Community Howard Regional Health. He was born on January 7, 1951, to the late Earl Caldwell and Maezell (Massey) Shepard. On July 27, 1979 he married the love of his life Charleen (Hoylman) Caldwell. Jerry worked as an Oiler at Chrysler, in Kokomo, IN.He was a humorous man and loved to tell jokes. Jerry also enjoyed watching the Colts. Jerry is survived by his loving Wife, of 34 years, Charleen (Hoylman) Caldwell of Elwood, Indiana; Son, Jerry Caldwell of Elwood, IN, Son, Devon Caldwell of Elwood, IN, Daughter, Cyndel (Jordan) Lacy of Elwood, IN, Son, Daniel Caldwell of Elwood, IN, Daughter, Kathleen Caldwell of Elwood, IN, Daughter, Jennifer Caldwell, Sister, Barb (John) Chambers, Granddaughter, Katelynd Caldwell, Grandson, Keylen Caldwell, Granddaughter, Tessa Caldwell, Grandson, Wiley Caldwell, Grandson, Hayden Lacy, Grandson, Benjamin Lacy, Granddaughter, Maci Smith, Several Nieces and Nephews. Jerry was preceded in death by his Father, Earl Caldwell, Mother, Maezell Shepard, Brother, MichaelCaldwell, Brother, Danny Caldwell, Sister, Elaine Fithian. Funeral service will be at 12:00 pm Saturday, September 21, 2013 at Dunnichay Funeral Home, Elwood, Indiana Burial will follow in the Elwood Cemetery, Elwood, Indiana, with graveside military serves by the Elwood V.F.W.
