Jerry D Hubbartt Obituary (1948 - 2017)

Jerry D. Hubbartt, age 69, of Pinellas Park, Florida and formerly of Elwood, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 18, 2017 at St. Petersburg General Hospital. He was born on March 22, 1948 in Frankfort, to D. Dwaine Hubbartt and W. Ruth (Hayward) Hubbartt-Shannon. Jerry was an active member of the Noblesville Moose Lodge #540 for 40 years. He was an avid NASCAR fan and #88, Dale Earnhardt, Jr. was his favorite driver. He would attend any NASCAR event when he was able to. Jerry was especially happy to be able to attend the Daytona 500 and the Brickyard 400. This year, Jerry wasn't able to attend the Daytona 500, however, a family friend was able to get in contact with Dale Earnhardt, Jr. and Dale Jr. called and talked to Jerry on the phone. Jerry's family includes his mother, W. Ruth Shannon of Pinellas Park, FL, sister, Genell Guy of Pinellas Park, FL, brother, Donald Hubbartt of Pinellas Park, FL, step siblings, Diane Miller of Elwood, Shirley Sallee of Elwood, Beverly Walden of Elwood, Danny Shannon of Fort Wayne, Linda Lane of Hot Springs AR, several nieces and nephews, and several great nieces and great nephews. Jerry was preceded in death by his father, D. Dwaine Hubbartt in 2006, sister, Wanda Hubbartt in 2011, brother Ronald Hubbartt in 2005 and an infant brother Bruce Hubbartt who died in 1951, step brother Robert Shannon, and David Shannon A funeral service will be at 1:00 pm on Saturday, December 23, 2017 at Dunnichay Funeral Home with Rev. Chris Ruder officiating. Burial will follow in the Kempton Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, Saturday, December 23, 2017 at the funeral home prior to the service.
