Judith White

Judith K. White, known to many as Judy, entered into rest on August 16, 2026. Born in Elwood, Indiana, on July 14, 1940, to Harold and Ruth Harris, Judy spent her entire life in her beloved hometown. She was the loving wife of John White, with whom she shared a beautiful life until his passing. They were married on June 10, 1963, and together they raised their family. Judy was also preceded in death by her son, Kenneth Harris, her sister, Janice Leever, and her grandson, Trenton Harris.

Judy was a devoted homemaker who cherished her role in nurturing and caring for her family. She was a long-time attendee of Zion Chapel Church in Elwood, and her faith played a significant role in her life. Judy had a special talent for crocheting and created many wonderful items that she loved to gift to family and friends. She was also fond of keeping in touch with everyone through phone conversations, always up to date with the latest happenings in their lives. Judy will be lovingly remembered for her warm heart, her generosity, and her love for her family.

Judy leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion. She is survived by her daughter, Pamela White; her brothers, William (Linda) Harris, Timothy (Debe) Harris, and Richard (Cheryl) Harris; her grandchildren, Lori (Kevin) Davidson, Travis (Molly) Harris, Joiceann (James) Janes, Kenzie (James) Winne, Sam Harris, Laura (Nate) Worton, and Kimberly (Clay) Fague, and daughter-in-law Stephanie Harris. She also leaves behind her seven great-grandchildren, Haylie, Harper, Kali, Emma, Laylee, Matison, and Alex, as well as several nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.

The graveside service for Judy White will be held on Thursday, August 20, 2026, at 1:00pm EDT at Elwood Cemetery located at 1000 South E Street, Elwood, Indiana, 46036. We invite those who knew and loved Judy to join us in remembering her life and saying our final goodbyes.
