Katie I. Lyons Obituary (1934 - 2024)

Katie I. Lyons, age 89, of Elwood, passed away on Sunday, October 20, 2024 at Ascension St. Vincent Mercy Hospital in Elwood following recent health issues. She was born in Cleveland, Mississippi on December 14, 1934, to the late Frank and Vernie (Powers) Beason. Katie graduated from Booneville High School in Bonneville, Indiana. She was in production for many years at King Systems Corporation in Noblesville. Katie is survived by her four children, Michael (wife Shari) Lyons of Frankton, Rebecca (husband Joe) Lilly of Elwood, Ramona (husband Todd) Frazier of Huntington, and Mark Lyons of Elwood; two brothers, Gene Beason, and Richard Beason; eight grandchildren, April, Tyler (wife Stephanie), Kaylee (husband Caleb), Samantha, Phil, Joshua (wife Sheria), Austin, and Leann; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and five siblings, Sarah, Vernie, Joe, Robert, and Frank Jr. Family and friends are invited to memorial visitation on Saturday, October 26, 2024, from 2 pm to 4 pm at Dunnichay Funeral Home 1113 South Anderson Street Elwood, IN 46036.
