Kenneth M. "Kenny" Garrison

Kenneth "Kenny" Merle Garrison, age 87, of Elwood, passed away on Tuesday, January 16, 2024, at Primrose Retirement Communities in Anderson. He was born in Frankfort, IN, on December 1, 1936, to the late Merle and Catherine (Dellinger) Garrison.

On Oct. 21, 1956, he married Janet Lee (Davis) Garrison and they shared 68 years of marriage. Kenny retired in 1996 as an Accountant from Textron of Lima, Ohio. He was a member of Elwood Elks and a former member of the Elwood Country Club and the Waterford Golf Club. From 1998 to 2020, he and Jan spent most of their time at their Venice, FL home in Waterford Community. He enjoyed golf and traveling but especially found the most joy in spending time with his many friends and family.

Kenny is survived by his loving wife, Janet (Jan) Lee Garrison; daughter, Sherry (Steven) Hodge of Pendleton; son, Jeffrey (Jeaniene) Garrison of Elwood; grandchildren, Jamie Hodge, Rawlin Hodge, and Christopher Garrison; brothers, Gary Neil Garrison of Atlanta, IN, and James Doyle (Sandra) Garrison of Anderson; and several nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, Kenny was preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Rebecca Garrison.

Visitation is Saturday, January 20, 2024, from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm, at Dunnichay Funeral Home, 1113 S. Anderson Street, Elwood, Indiana. The funeral service celebrating Kenny's life will be at 1:00 pm Saturday, January 20, 2024, beginning with the Elks memorial service at Dunnichay Funeral Home, with Rev. Matthew Seibel officiating. Cremation will follow.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association.
