Linda K Hirschy-Tyner

Linda K. Hirschy-Tyner, age 65, of Elwood, formerly of Decatur went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 19th, 2012, at the home of her daughter in following an extended illness.
Linda was born on July 26, 1947, to Kenneth and Esther (Baumgartner) Hirschy in Decatur, IN.She married Burel Tyner on Nov. 25th, 1992.
Linda was the co-owner of Myers Dance Studio in Decatur.She was the first woman elected to the County Council of Adams County. She also was the former County Treasurer of Adams County.Linda worked as the District Manager of the BMV and business admistrator of Miami Correctional Facility in Peru.She was a past member of the Tri-Kappa Sorority of Decatur and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church of Elwood.

Husband- Burel Tyner of Elwood
Twin daughters- Darlene & (Roy) Zeitvogel of Decatur and Charlene Johnson of Ft. Wayne
Bonus Children- Sam & (Caterina) Tyner of Elwood, Brett & (Jacquie) Tyner of Anderson, and Christi Tyner of Elwood
Grandchildren- Shaun & Mekhi Zeitvogel, Heather Hernandez, Jason Ridenour, Graccey Tyner, Niki &(Woodson) Bond, Summer, Cora, TJ,Jessica, Nick, and Michael Tyner
Great Grandchild- Kehara
2 Brothers- Ed & (Kerry) Hirschy, Gil & (Susan) Hirschy both of Ft. Wayne
Sister Dorene & (Gary) Wilson of Ft. Wayne
2 Best Friends- Grace Powers & Velm Osting both of Elwood

She was preceded in death by her parents, bonus child Anna Tyner, and grandson Shane Tyner.

Visitation will be Wednesday, Dec. 26th, 2012,from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and a Rosary at 7:oo PM at Dunnichay Funeral Home in Elwood.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM, at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Thursday, Dec. 27th, 2012. Father Dan Duff officiating and burial will take place at St. Joseph Cemetery in Elwood.

Memorials are suggested to: Masses to St. Joseph Church, East Main Street Wesleyan AWANA's, or Adams County Community Foundation Hirschy-Tyner Fund in Decatur.
