Linda L (Adams) Payne Obituary (1952 - 2021)

Linda L. Payne, age 69 of Elwood, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 following an extended illness. She was born in Somerset, KY on May 24, 1952 to the late Otis Adams and Elsie (Easter) Henderson. Linda graduated from Frankton High School in 1970. She enjoyed working and was employed for 22 years at Ambu (King Systems) in Noblesville. Most of all, Linda loved spending time with her friends and family. Linda is survived by three sons, Rodney Sipes and Billy Payne of Elwood, and Randy Sipes of Shelbyville; six grandchildren, Jerrika Rafferty, Hayden Thompson, Ryder Payne, Lillyan Payne, Kingston Payne and Paislee Payne; sister, Mary Johnson of Shelbyville; step-daughter, Crissy Payne Dalton of Elwood; two step-grandchildren, Austin Whelling and Madison Davis; and several nieces and nephews. Linda was preceded in death by her parents, husband Billy Payne, and two brothers, Don and Lonnie Adams. Visitation will be Wednesday, December 29, 2021, from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm at the Dunnichay Funeral Home Elwood chapel. A funeral service celebrating Linda's life will follow at 1:00 pm with Pastor Jim Stout from Joy Christian Church officiating. Burial will follow in the Elwood Cemetery.
