Lois M (Hershey) Mcphearson Obituary (1939 - 2022)

Lois Maxine McPhearson, age 83, of Elwood, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 15, 2022 at The Waters of Tipton. She was born in Elwood, IN on September 6, 1939, to the late James and Mary (Hershey) Webb. On July 1, 1957 Lois married Everett E. McPhearson and they shared 53 years of marriage together. Lois was a homemaker who enjoyed caring for her family. She was an active member of the Main Street Wesleyan Church. Lois was well-known for her crocheting, she made numerous blankets for children and members of the nursing home. Lois and Everett enjoyed bowling together throughout their years at Wells Lanes. In her spare time Lois would indulge in puzzles, reading, and watching both the Cubs and Colts. Lois most of all enjoyed her fellowship and memories that she made with her grand and great-grandchildren. Lois is survived by her four sons, Thomas (Francie) McPhearson of Elwood,Fred (Laura) McPhearson of Windfall, George (Marie) McPhearson of Elwood,Kevin (Lisa) McPhearson of Curtisville; brother, William Webb of Terre Haute, IN; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. Lois was preceded in death by her husband, Everett E. McPhearson; parents, James and Mary Webb; five brothers, George Webb, Ben Webb, Robert Webb, James Webb, andJoseph Webb. Visitation will be Friday, November 18, 2022, from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm, at Dunnichay Funeral Home, 1113 S. Anderson Street, Elwood, Indiana. Lois' Funeral service will be at 1:00 pm Friday, November 18, 2022, at Dunnichay Funeral Home, Elwood, Indiana with Rev. Tim Becker officiating. Burial will follow at the Elwood City Cemetery.
