Margaret E. Gerhard, age 58, of Elwood, passed away on Friday, September 4, 2015 at Bridgewater Nursing Home in Noblesville following an extended illness.Margaret was born on June 24, 1957, in Elwood to Morris Wilkerson and Carrie (Elmore) Luyet.On August 24, 1984 she married the love of her life Charles "Chuck"Gerhard.Margaret was a strong supporter and activist for the Relay For Life Program.She loved spending time with her family and friends. Margaret is survived by her loving Husband, of 31 years, Charles "Chuck" Gerhard of Elwood, two Daughters, Stacey (Andrew) Brock of Barboursville, KY, and Sarah Saxton of Elwood, Son, Tarron Conwell of Elwood, Grandson, Andrew Brock, Sister, Janet Wood of Elwood, three Brothers, Charles Wilkerson, Kevin Wilkerson, and Rodney Wilkerson of Elwood, Several nieces & nephews Margaret was preceded in death by her Father, Morris Wilkerson, Mother, Carrie Luyet, Sister, Theresa Dowler. A Celebration of Life Funeral service will be at 2:00 pm Wednesday, September 9, 2015, at Dunnichay Funeral Home, Elwood, with Pastor Bill Hunt officiating. Burial will be at a later date. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 9, 2015, from 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm, at Dunnichay Funeral Home, 1113 S. Anderson Street, Elwood, Indiana.
