Mark A. Amick

Mark Allen Amick, age 69, of Elwood, passed away on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at Community Howard Regional Health in Kokomo following an extended illness. He was born in Anderson on October 9, 1954, the son of William and Marjorie (Johnson) Amick. On July 24, 1993, he married Lori (Simison) Watson Amick and they shared 30 years of marriage.

Mark graduated from Frankton High School with the Class of 1972. He worked for Barth Electric as a journeyman, where he was later promoted to foreman. He was a proud member of the IBEW Local #481 and a member of the National Muzzle Loading Rifle Association of Friendship, IN. His hobbies included blacksmithing, hunting, fishing, restoration, and "ron-de-voos'" reenactment, camping, but more than anything, Mark cherished spending time with his family, friends, and loved ones who will carry on his legacy.

Mark is survived by his loving wife, Lori Amick of Elwood; mother, Marjorie Amick of Frankton; three daughters, Audra (Chad) Vandergrifft of Muncie, Adrianne (John) Sutton of Alexandria, and Amy (Brad) Robinson of Elwood; son, Richard (Tifffany Doan) Watson of Elwood, Joshua (Sarah) Hiday and Kathy and Phoebe (Steve) Raper, Chantel (Brian) Howell; grandchildren, Satien, Elijah, Donna, Sadie, Lucy, Rose, Owen, Harper, Opal, Uriah ,Victoria and Gwen; brothers, Randy (Sandy) Amick of Elwood and Rob (Joanne) Amick of Frankton.

Mark was preceded in death by his father, William O. Amick, and his first wife, Donna Farmer Amick.

Cremation was chosen and a Celebration of Life will be planned for a later date. Dunnichay Funeral Home has been entrusted with local arrangements.
