Marye E Knoop

Marye E. Knoop, age 82, of Elwood, passed away on November 17, 2012, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, following an extended illness.

Marye was born on May 9, 1930, to Walter and Jessie (Maxwell) Knoop in Lima, OH.Marye was a graduate of Northwestern University, she retired after 31 years as an Elementary School Teacher and Principle for the Elwood Community School Systems.
Marye was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Elwood, Indiana State School Teachers Association, and a former member of the Elwood Country Club.Marye enjoyed playing Bridge, her Champion toy poodles and rooting for the Colts & Pacers.

She is survived by:
Nephew- John Knoop of New Jersey
Sister-in-law- Joanne Knoop of South Bend, IN

She was preceded in death by Father, Walter E. Knoop, Mother, Jessie M. Knoop, Son, James E. Knoop, Brother, W. Max Knoop.

There will be no services.
Burial will take place next to her son Jim at St. Joseph Valley cemetery in South Bend.
Arrangements have been entrusted by Dunnichay Funeral Home in Elwood.
