Michael Ray Coubert

Michael Ray Coubert, age 67, of Anderson and formerly of Elwood, passed away on April 16, 2023, at his residence. He and his twin brother Mark were born in Lexington, Kentucky on April 22, 1955, to the late Daniel Coubert and Anna (Wise) Coubert Hardebeck. During the school years Mike and Mark enjoyed tricking their teachers by switching places and taking the other one's class. Mike entered into the United States Marine Corps and was honorably discharged.

Mike loved to tell jokes, have a good time with his family and friends, and had a very unique laugh that was easily recognizable. He had a deep love for his daughters, and enjoyed the fast life and had a love for Harleys. Mike lived his life on his own terms.

Mike is survived by his three daughters, Chassidy Lynn Simmons, Melita Hopkins, and Megan Coubert; two grandsons, Noah and Joel; six siblings, Sue Little, Marsha Bills-Clark, Fanny Coubert, Carmie (husband David) Frye, Anita Coubert, and Ed Gordon; three step-siblings, Brenda Moss, Richard Hardebeck and Rhonda Mousty; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by his twin brother, Mark Coubert, two other brothers, David Lee and Robert Coubert, step-father Jim Hardebeck; and step brother, Mark Hardebeck.

Military graveside rites will be conducted at 1 pm on Friday, June 16, 2023, at Elwood City Cemetery in Elwood. A celebration of his life will follow at the Elwood V.F.W.

Dunnichay Funeral Home has been entrusted with Mike's care.
