Michelle D "Shelley" (Bryant) Calhoun Obituary (1974 - 2022)

Michelle D. "Shelley" Calhoun, age 48, of Elwood, passed away on Sunday, December 11, 2022 at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis following a brief illness. She was born on April 1, 1974, to Sharon S. (Bryant) Whitaker. On November 5, 2016 she married Shawn Calhoun. Michelle loved art, making projects on plastic canvas, reading, and playing games on her laptop. Baking was one of Michelle's favorite things to do, and her husband made sure that she had everything she needed to enjoy herself in that hobby. More than anything Michelle enjoyed spending time with her beloved husband, family and granddaughter. Michelle is survived by her husband, Shawn Calhoun of Elwood; daughter, Deana Huff; son, Trevor Huff; granddaughter, Kamryn Statow; mother, Sharon Sue Whitaker; grandmother, Marcia Rice Waymire; brother, James Bryant; and several close friends. Michelle was preceded in death by her great grandmother, Vivian Waymire and her mother-in-law, Susan Jean Calhoun. It was Michelle's wish to be cremated and a Memorial Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Monday, December 19, 2022 at Dunnichay Funeral Home, 1113 S. Anderson St. Elwood, IN 46036.
