Michelle "Shelli" Marie Stone Obituary (1987 - 2024)

Michelle "Shelli" Marie Stone, age 36, of Carmel, passed away after an extensive health battle on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at St. Vincent Carmel Hospital. Shelli was born in Elwood on September 16, 1987, to Anthony "Tony" and Jennifer (Compton) Henn. On June 9, 2015, she married Steve Stone and shared 8 years of marriage. Shelli grew up in Elwood and was a part of Elwood Community High School's graduating class of 2006. After graduation, Shelli attended Vincennes University and obtained her Bachelor's degree. Shelli then attended the IUPUI nursing program. She worked for Ascension St. Vincent Hospital as a Registered Nurse and served in many different areas throughout her career. In Shelli's free time, she enjoyed doing diamond Art, crafting, and playing BINGO. She also loved traveling and wished that she would have been able to take another trip to the beach. Those who knew Shelli know that her family and friends were always at the center of her life. She loved caring for her friends and family. She took many trips to Great Wolf Lodge because Hensley loves playing in the water and she loved taking day trips to the Indianapolis Zoo with Steve and the kids. Shelli also loved planning events and birthday parties for the kids. She always had themed parties and would hand-make the decorations for both Hensley and Leo. She even liked for Steve to be able to go fishing. Shelli was always a kind soul and always put others before herself. She loved her family and is going to be missed by many. Shelli is survived by her husband, Steve Stone of Carmel; children, Hensley & Leo Stone of Carmel; parents, Tony & Jennifer Henn of Elwood; sister, Morgan Johns of Elwood; and several nieces & nephews. Shelli was united in her passing to her firstborn son Lincoln Anthony Joe Stone, and her grandparents. No flowers please Shelli would appreciate gift cards to help the kids and Steve.
