Nancy K (Pattison) Keefer Obituary (1938 - 2020)

Nancy Kay (Pattison) Keefer June 13th, 1938 - November 28th, 2020 Nancy Kay (Pattison) Keefer, 82, passed away on Saturday, November 28, at Community Hospital, Anderson. Nancy was born on June 13th, 1938, in Grant County and was the daughter of the late Russell and Wanda Pattison. Throughout her life, Nancy overcame many obstacles that made her a very strong and courageous woman. Despite any challenges, she was always known for her big smile, contagious laughter, and kind heart. She was the biggest supporter and champion of her two children who she raised on her own. She valued her time with family above anything else and enjoyed supporting her two grandsons in all of their activities, including sporting events and livestock shows. Nancy graduated from Summitville High School in 1957. She was employed by Dana Corporation and the Madison-Grant United School Corporation. Upon retirement, she chose to donate her time as a Pink Lady at Community Hospital in Anderson. She also spent many years as the "Ticket Lady" for the Madison-Grant sporting events where she was the first smile to greet all who attended. She was a member of the Jones Chapel Church and a member of the Women's Willing Workers. Survivors include: her son, Dennis J. Keefer, and her daughter, Mary Jo (Doug) Brunt, all of Summitville; grandsons Brandon Brunt, Savannah, Georgia, and Brogan Brunt, Summitville; sister-in-law Barbara Pattison; nieces Donnetta Riser, Jessica (Ty) Clevenger, Alyssa (Darrin) Key; nephews Kevin (Gail) Pattison and Ryan (Heather) Pattison; and special friends LaVenda Brummet, Ryan Plovick, and Mike Hiatt. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Donald L. Pattison and Rodney J. Pattison, sister-in-law Judy Pattison, nephew Tom Riser, and granddaughter Macy Jo Brunt. A funeral service celebrating Nancy's life will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Thursday, December 3, 2020 at Dunnichay Funeral Home in Elwood with Pastor Brock Meyer officiating. Burial will follow in Vinson Cemetery in Summitville. Visitation will be held from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm prior to the funeral service at Dunnichay Funeral Home, 1113 S. Anderson St. Elwood, IN 46036.
