Nancy J Smith

Nancy J. Smith, age 84, of Elwood, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 25, 2021, surrounded by her loving family.
Nancy was born in Fairmount, IN on June 3, 1937. She was the daughter of the late Harry and Ima (Gilbreath) Bush.
On July 24, 1971, she married Charles J. Smith and they shared 43 years of marriage together.
Nancy graduated from Fairmount High School in 1956. She retired in 1997, from RCA in Marion. She was a faithful member of the Omega Christian Church and the Eastern Star. She enjoyed tending to her garden, flowers and reading the Bible. She loved spending time with family & friends.
Nancy is survived by her special family and friends, Sonny (Marion) Smith of Claremore, OK and Joan Witham of Anderson; brother, Bruce (Stormi) Bush of Highland, IN; good friends & care givers, Chris (Pat) Juday & Michael (Becky) Juday of Elwood; several loving grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and nieces & nephews. Nancy was preceded in death besides her parents and husband; a brother, Bert Bush.
Visitation will be Wednesday, June 30, 2021, from 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm, at Dunnichay Funeral Home in Elwood. Funeral service celebrating Nancy's life and Eastern Star memorial service will begin at 2:00 pm Wednesday, June 30, 2021, at Dunnichay Funeral Home in Elwood with Pastor Neal Brown officiating. Burial will follow in the Elwood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Omega Christian Church.
