Nanine "Sue" (Patton) Miller Obituary (1943 - 2016)

Nanine "Sue" Miller, age 72, of Elwood, passed away on Tuesday, April 5, 2016, at St. Vincent Mercy Hospital in Elwood. Sue was born on September 30, 1943, in Elwood the daughter of Gerald and Maxine (Burton) Patton. Sue married Phillip Joe "Phil" Miller on June 21, 1964 and he preceded her on Jan. 6, 1996. She was a member of the Central Wesleyan Church of Elwood. She was a homemaker, enjoyed working in her yard and crocheting. Sue liked to take rides in her golf cart with her dogs. Sue loved to spend time with her grandchildren. Sue is survived by two sons, Joe (Patti) Miller and Brian (Melissa) Miller both of Elwood, daughter, Sindy (Pat) Holliday of Elwood and step-daughter, Christy (John) Pearson of Hobbs, Grandchildren, Deryk (Tiffany) Miller, Dustyn (Heather) Miller, Cheyenne, Cole, Caleb Carley Holliday, Amy Taylor, and Jenny Pearson, Sisters, Karen Leisure of Elwood, Joan Kruse of Westfield, Penny Summers of Alexandria, and Etta Shallenberger of Elwood, brother, Rolland Patton of Elwood, special aunt Dorothy Patton of Elwood, and several nieces nephews. Sue was preceded in death by her Father, Gerald Patton, Sr., Mother, Maxine Patton, Sister, Pam Harless, Brother, Gerald Patton, Sister, Ramona Patton. Funeral service celebrating Sue's life will be at 1:00 pm Friday, April 8, 2016, at Dunnichay Funeral Home, Elwood, with Rev. Ben Capshaw officiating. Burial will follow in the Elwood Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, April 8, 2016, from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm, at Dunnichay Funeral Home, 1113 S. Anderson Street, Elwood, Indiana. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Central Wesleyan Church through the funeral home.
