Pearl L (Wickell) Goble Obituary (1935 - 2022)

Pearl Louise Goble, age 87, of Elwood, passed away on Friday, August 12, 2022, at Ascension St. Vincent Mercy Hospital in Elwood.She was born in Canton, MO, on January 17, 1935, to the late Elmer and Mary (James) Wickell. She married Virgil Leroy Goble, Sr. and they shared 45 years of marriage until his passing on September 24, 1998. Pearl was a homemaker and loving housewife all of her adult life, and she took pride in caring for her home and beloved family. Pearl enjoyed solving word search puzzles and embroidering. She collected porcelain dolls and stuffed animals. Her most prized possession in her collection was her special rabbit. More than anything, Pearl adored her family so much and always put them first, even helping to raise her grandson, Jesse. Pearl is survived by three sons, Virgil (Kathy)Goble, Jr., George (Michelle)Gobleand Elmer Goble; a daughter, Joy Julian; 22 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Along with her parents and husband, Pearl was preceded in death by daughters, Carolyn Sue Shelton, Viola Norris, and Viola Nail; seven sisters; and five brothers. Visitation will be held from 3:00pm to5:00 pm on Thursday, August 18, 2022, at Dunnichay Funeral Home in Elwood.Funeral service follow at 5:00pm on Thursday, August 18, 2022 at Dunnichay Funeral Home, with Pastor Keith Himelick officiating.
