Penny Morrison

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Penny Sue Morrison, born Penny McPhearson on July 7th, 1957, in Elwood. Penny was known to all who loved her as a humble, loving individual who had a deep passion for her family and her crafts. Penny dedicated her life to her family, her work as a seamstress in the clothing manufacturing industry, and her hobbies which included crafting, knitting, and sewing. Penny's love for her family was immeasurable, her grandchildren were the apple of her eye, and she cherished every family event and birthday celebration.

Penny is survived by her children Zachariah (Katie) Abbott, Meranda Stewart, and James "Ralph" Abbott II, her grandchildren Megan Everling and Ramiro Gallegos Jr., Sierra Young, Robert Young, James Abbott, Izzach Ramsey, Devon Abbott, Tyler Abbott, Marleigh Abbott, and Maverick Abbott.She had 14 great grandchildren. She also leaves behind her brother Merl Perkins, and her sister Lela Simmons, and her brother Sam (Cathy) McPhearson. Penny was preceded in death by her parents William McPhearson and Sue Perkins, husband Jack Morrison, her brother William "Bud" McPhearson, and her sister Sherry Farr.

A viewing will be held in honor of Penny on Friday, August 14, 2026, at 11:00 am EDT at the Dunnichay Funeral Home, located at 1113 South Anderson Street, Elwood, Indiana, 46036. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm EDT at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Perkinsville Cemetery beside her beloved husband.
