Phyllis A (Horseman) Jones Obituary (1947 - 2022)

Phyllis A. Jones, age 75, of Elwood, passed away on Tuesday, November 1, 2022, at Elwood Health and Living following an extended illness. She was born in Mount Sterling, Kentucky, on June 11, 1947, to the late Albert and Dixie (York) Horseman. On September 30, 1967, Phyllis married Charles Jones and they shared 55 years of marriage together. Phyllis graduated from Wendell L. Willkie High School with the Class of 1965. She attended East Main Street Christian Church, and she was an avid reader. Phyllis enjoyed traveling, but most of all, she treasured time with family and especially caring for them. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Phyllis is survived by her loving husband, Charles Jones of Elwood; 2 sons, Paul Jones of Elwood and Mark Jones of Ft. Wayne; 2 brothers, Gary Horseman and Mitchell Horseman; sister, Brenda Horseman; and several nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, Phyllis was preceded in death by her sister, Judy Horseman and a brother, Donald Horseman. Visitation will be Thursday, November 3, 2022, from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm, at Dunnichay Funeral Home, 1113 S. Anderson Street, Elwood, Indiana. Funeral service celebrating Phyllis's life will be at 1:00 pm Thursday, November 3, 2022 at Dunnichay Funeral Home with Rev. Roger Gardner officiating. Cremation will follow.
