Phyllis Ann Weston Obituary (1937 - 2024)

Phyllis Ann Weston, age 87, of Elwood, passed away on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at Ascension St. Vincent Anderson following an extended illness. Phyllis was born in Peoria, IL, on May 28, 1937, to the late Oren and Margaret (Corbett) Brown. On May 27, 1977, she married Leroy Weston and they shared 47 years of marriage. Phyllis graduated from Wendell L. Willkie High School with the Class of 1955. She worked for Coronado Paint Company, where she retied after several years of service. She was a faithful member of East Main Street Christian Church and enjoyed puzzles, crocheting, and watching all Indiana sports teams. More than anything, she cherished time with family and friends. Phyllis is survived by her loving husband, Leroy Weston of Elwood; three sons, Steven Stiner of Elwood, Kevin (Tracy) Stiner of Tipton, and Keith (Dara) Stiner of Muncie; a daughter, Karen (Phil) Brown of Elwood; 10 grandchildren, Kristen Hunter, Korsen Stiner, Karissa Stiner, Erin Lee, Gretchen Garst, Sahmantha Guffey, Brent Stiner, Amanda Henderson, Kelly Brown, Matthew Brown; several great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. Along with her parents Phyllis was preceded in death by her brother, Jerry Brown. Visitation to honor Phyllis is Saturday, November 23, 2024, from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm, at Dunnichay Funeral Home, 1113 S. Anderson Street, Elwood, IN. Funeral service celebrating Phyllis's life is at 1:00 pm Saturday, November 23, 2024 at Dunnichay Funeral Home, with Rev. Roger Gardner officiating.
