Raleigh D Wadholm Obituary (1931 - 2019)

Raleigh D. Wadholm, age 88, of Elwood, passed away on Wednesday, August 7, 2019 at Elwood Health and Living following an extended illness. He was born on March 4, 1931, in New Town, ND the son of Ole Johan and Petra (Hjartland) Wadholm. On May 8, 1953, he married the love of his life Patricia E. (VanNess) Wadholm. Raleigh served his country in the United States Air Force. He retired from Fisher Body of Marion as a tool & die maker. He was a member of the U.A.W. of Marion. He enjoyed working with his hands in carpentry, reading the Bible, and watching nature shows. He loved spending time with his family. Raleigh is survived by his loving wife, of 66 years, Patricia and daughter, Carla Wadholm both of Elwood, grandson, Bronc J. (Koren) Wadholm of Anderson, 3 great granddaughters, Karoline, Aliza & Mariah Raleigh was preceded in death by his Father, Ole Johan Cornelieus Wadholm, Mother, Petra (Hjartland) Wadholm, two sons, Steven and Terry Wadholm and 10 siblings. Funeral service celebrating Raleigh's life will be at 11:00 am Tuesday, August 13, 2019 at Dunnichay Funeral Home, Elwood. Burial will follow in the Elwood Cemetery with full military honors conducted by the US Air Force and the Elwood VFW Honor Guard. Visitation will be Monday, August 12, 2019, from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm, at Dunnichay Funeral Home, 1113 S. Anderson Street, Elwood, Indiana.
