Raymond Mcdaniel

Raymond M. McDaniel, age 86, of Elwood, passed away on Thursday, September 19, 2013, at St. Vincent Mercy Hospital.
He was born on October 27, 1926, to the late Raymond C. and Mary (Goetz) McDaniel.
On Aug. 13, 1950,he married the love of his life Betty Mae (Fluckey) McDaniel.She passed away on Oct. 7, 2002.
Raymond retired from Pepsi Cola Bottling Co. after several years of service.He was amember of East Main Street Christian Church, and the Elwood Masonic Quincy Lodge.He enjoyed teaching oil painting, and was very active in Elwood Band Parents, Girl & Boy Scouts organizations.

2 Sons:Gary (Arlea) McDaniel of Mentone, and Richard McDaniel of Elwood
2 Daughters: Amy (Brad) Swain of Bloomington, IN, and Laurie (Keith) Kelley of Ft. Wayne
4 Grandchildren: Chris McDaniel, Rachel Lenfestey, Jason Kelley, and Matthew Kelley
4 Great Grandchildren: Dane and Hayden, Carter and Marshall

Raymond was preceded in death by his Father, Raymond C. McDaniel, Mother, Mary McDaniel, and 3 sistersKatherine, Mary Alice, and Margaret.

Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM, with visitation one hour prior to service time on Friday, Sept. 27, 2013, at Dunnichay Funeral Home with Rev. Roger Gardner. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
Visitation will be Thursday, Sept. 26th, from 2:00 PM to 4:00PM and 6:00PM to 8:00PM with Masonic memorial service at 7:00 PM at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers the family request memorial contributions to either Elwood Masonic Lodge building fund or Girl & Boy Scouts.
