Richard A "Rick" Stewart

Richard A. "Rick" Stewart, age 64, life-long resident of Elwood, passed away on Wednesday, July 21, 2021, at his residencefollowing a brief illness. Rick was born in Elwood on March 29, 1957. He was the son of Leroy Stewart and Gloria (Good) Spearman.
Rick graduated from Elwood Community High School in 1975. He was a member of Main Street Wesleyan Church. Rick had a huge and caring heart and was one of those guys who would do anything for anyone. He enjoyed fishing, baseball and attending Dan's Fish Fry. Rick especially loved spending time with his family and watching his grandchildren's baseball games and sporting events.
Rick is survived by two daughters, Peggy ((Justin Buck)) Patton and JoAnn (Jason) Babcock both of Anderson; son, Shaun (Jamie) Stewart of Frankton; sister, LeeAnn (Les) Graham of Elwood; grandchildren, Alex Patton, Kylie Patton, Morgan Baker, Riley Stewart, Griffin Stewart and Jackson Stewart; and several nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, Rick was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Breanna Patton; brother, Leroy (Bevo) Stewart; and aunt, Freda Stewart.

Visitation will be Monday, July 26, 2021, from 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm, at Dunnichay Funeral Home, Elwood Chapel. Funeral service celebrating Rick's life will immediately follow the visitation at 6:00 with Revs. Ron & Tim Becker officiating. Cremation will follow with burial at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Dunnichay Funeral Home to assist the family with expenses.
