Ruth Irene Jadis (Mitchell) Bradley Obituary (1937 - 2022)

Ruth Irene Jadis (Mitchell) Bradley, age 85, of Elwood passed away on Sunday, October 23, 2022 surrounded by her loving family at her daughter's home. She was born in Elwood on August 31, 1937, the daughter of the late Ether and Cora Jadis Mitchell. Ruth was a 1954 graduate of Frankton High School and following graduation she married Richard A. Bradley on May 16, 1954 and he preceded her in death on February 25, 2004. While raising her children, Ruth was an active parent and enjoyed being a band mom, and helping support the twirling group. Ruth was an avid Colts fan, and loved going to many Colts home games. Her greatest joy was being a "Grams" to her grandson Tyler. Ruth was a volunteer for many years at Noah's Ark Pre-school at East Main Street Christian Church, and then spent many years as a volunteer at Oakland Elementary School. She will be greatly missed by her loving family. Ruth is survived by her two children, Kenny Bradley, and Dorinda Harnish; and a grandson, Tyler Harnish. In addition to her parents, and husband, Ruth was preceded in death by two brothers, and a sister. Family and friends are invited to visitation from 12 pm to 2 pm on Friday, October 28, 2022, at Dunnichay Funeral Home 1113 South Anderson Street Elwood, IN 46036. A funeral service to honor and celebrate her life will begin at 2 pm on Friday at the funeral home with Rev. Roger Gardner officiating. Burial will follow the services at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to the Madison County Humane Society.
