Sally L (Rice) Stanley Obituary (1948 - 2021)

Sally L. Stanley, age 73 of Elwood, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 27, 2021, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis following an extended illness. She was born in Greenville, OH on January 9, 1948, the daughter of the late Fred and Juanita (Henninger) Rice. Sally enjoyed being a homemaker, crocheting, and caring for her flowers and garden. More than anything, she enjoyed spending time with family and friends whom she loved very much. Sally is survived by her companion, Gail Beeman of Elwood; three sons, Scott (Cheryl) Stanley of Anderson; Terry (Ruth) Stanley of Green Castle; Jimmy (Linda) Stanley of Otwell; twelve grandchildren, Meghan, Natasha, Derrick, Trisha, Tylor, Dayton, Sarah, Makayla, Danielle, Dustin, Derick and Dakotah; six great-grandchildren, Jaisha, Karsten, Emma, Caleb, Addsion, and Clarabelle; three sisters, Pat (Ron) Treadway of Greenville, OH; Sue Fourman of AR; and Nancy Rice of Greenville, OH; a brother Randy Rice of Arcanum, OH; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Gary Rice; sister, Carol Patridge; and daughter, Debbie Chalfant. Visitation will be Thursday, Sept. 2, 2021, from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Dunnichay Funeral Home, 1113 S. Anderson St., Elwood, IN. Funeral service celebrating Sally's life will be at 2:00 pm Thursday, Sept. 2, 2021 at Dunnichay Funeral Home, Elwood chapel with Pastor John Elder officiating. Burial will follow in the Elwood Cemetery.
