Sirildo "Lilo" Vasquez, age 71, of Elwood, passed away on Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at his residence following an extended illness.Lilo was born on August 27, 1943, in Sebastian, Texas to the late Nieves and Leoner (Oviedo) Vasquez.On May 28, 1966,he married the love of his life Ana (Gonzalez) Vasquez. Lilo retired from Georgia Pipeline and Red Gold.He loved spending time with his children & grandchildren. Lilo is survived by his loving Wife, of 48 years, Ana (Gonzalez) Vasquez of Elwood, Daughter, Anna Cox of Kingsburg, CA, Daughter, Cecilia Miller of Elwood, Son, Luis Vasquez of Elwood, Son, Aaron Vasquez of Elwood, Son, Moses Vasquez of GA, 17 Grandchildren, 9 Great Grandchildren, 3 brothers, 2 sisters, and several nieces & nephews. Lilo was preceded in death by his parents &a daughter Isabel Villanueva. Funeral servicewith a Rosary will be at 1:00 pm Saturday, October 18, 2014, at Dunnichay Funeral Home, Elwood, Indiana with Father Dan Duff officiating. Cremation will follow.
