Born in Elwood, Ted moved to Anderson as a small child, moving back to Elwood at the age of 17 to help carry on the legacy of the family farm. Ted was a loving husband to Jodi (Dauenhauer) St. Clair, with whom he shared 43 years of beautiful marriage, and a devoted father to Ashley (Chris) Hutson and Paul (Julia) St. Clair. Along with his wife and children, Ted was also the proud papaw of 5 grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Luke Hutson, Adeline, Charlotte and James St. Clair. In addition, he is survived by his Father-in-law and Mother-in-law George and Janice Dauenhauer, brother-in-laws Eric Hampton, George Brian Dauenhauer, Byron Curt (Shaunn) Dauenhauer, Sister-in-law Carrie (Greg) Stanley, Sister-in-law Christa St. Clair, several nieces, nephews, and cousins, especially Rob and Kim Oleksy for all their help during Ted’s illness.
Ted was preceded in death by his parents, James and Rita St. Clair, his brother, Thomas St. Clair and sister Susan Hampton. His faith was an integral part of his life, being a long time member of St. Joseph Catholic Church Elwood.
