Thomas L. Shepard, age 78, life long resident of Elwood, passed away on Tuesday, February 25, 2014, at Randolph Nursing Home in Winchester following an extended illness.
Tom was born on May 21, 1935, in Elwood to Vern and Mary (Crull) Shepard.
Tom was a self-employed contractor most of his life.He loved to hunt and fish in his early days.
Tom's family includes his two daughters; Beverly & (George) Crowell of Frankton and Melodie Shepard of Elwood, three sons; Larry Shepard of Elwood, Michael Shepard of Elwood, and Ronnie Shepard of Fishers
Grandchildren; Shawn Shepard, Seth Crowell, Darren Crowell, Ben Shepard, Heather Scherer, Joshua Shepard, Ashley Crook, Anberly Case, and Nichole Cole..
Several Great Grandchildren
Three brothers; Chuck Shepard of Elwood, Arnold Shepard of Frankton, and David Shepard of Anderson, one sister, Roberta Roe of Tipton
Several nieces & nephews
Tom was preceded in death by his Father, Vern Shepard, Mother, Mary Shepard, two Sons Stephen & Jackson Shepard, Brothers, Harold Shepard, Gene Shepard, and Dwight Shepard, Sisters, Mary McClure and Carolyn Coffee.

Funeral service will be at 1:00 pm Friday, February 28, 2014, at Dunnichay Funeral Home, Elwood, Indiana with Rev. Larry Schimmel, officiating. Burial will follow in the Elwood Cemetery.
Visitation will be Friday from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the funeral home.
