Thomas Waymire

Thomas H. Waymire, age 82, passed away on October 10, 2026. Born on October 27, 1943, in Elwood, Indiana, the son of Warren & Irene Betty (Grimm) Waymire. Thomas lived most of his life in Shirley, Indiana.

A dedicated worker, Thomas spent his career in automotive manufacturing, retiring from General Motors in Anderson, Indiana. His work ethic was a testament to his character, as he took great pride in his contributions to the industry. When he wasn't working, Thomas pursued his love for the outdoors. He was often found hunting, fishing, or farming; activities that not only brought him joy but also strengthened his connection to the earth and its creatures. His stories of life outdoors, filled with adventure and wisdom, will be remembered and cherished by all who knew him.

He married Anita Waymire on September 13, 1968, and she survives. Also surviving are his son, Michael (Michele) Waymire; grandson, Brandon Waymire; and great-granddaughters, Ava and Alivia Waymire.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Warren and Irene Waymire and his brother, Richard Waymire.

A graveside service for Thomas Waymire will be held on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, at 10:00am at the K of P and IOOF Cemetery in Frankton. Arrangements have been entrusted by Harper & Dunnichay Funeral Home of Frankton.
