Uneita I Tarrants Obituary (1921 - 2016)

Uneita I. Tarrants, age 94, of Elwood, passed away on Sunday, January 17, 2016, at Community Parkview Care Center. Uneita was born on September 11, 1921, in Grayridge, MO to the late John and Linnie (Bruce) Tarrants. She resided in Elwood since 1949, when she became an integral part of the Leo Gill family. Uneita graduated from Canalou High School in Missouri where she played basketball. She retired in 1984, from Ex-Cel-Lo Corp. after 28 1/2 years of service. Uneita was a faithful member of the First Pentecostal Church of Elwood. Uneita is survived by her Sister, Myrtle Donnelly of St. Louis, MO, Close Friends, Elnora Gill of Elwood, and The Gill Family, Several nieces & nephews. Uneita was preceded in death by her Father, John S Tarrants, Mother, Linnie Terrants, five brothers, and one sister. Funeral service celebrating Uneita's life will be at 1:00 pm Thursday, January 21, 2016, at Dunnichay Funeral Home, Elwood, with Rev. Harold Gill officiating. Burial will follow in the Elwood Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm, at Dunnichay Funeral Home, 1113 S. Anderson Street, Elwood, Indiana. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the George Morrisett Center Food Pantry.
