Wanda J (Blackwood) Barnes

Wanda J. Barnes, age 59, of Elwood, passed away on Thursday, February 2, 2017, at Community Parkview Health & Living.
She was born on August 1, 1957, in Muncie to Floyd and Betty (Buie) Blackwood. Wanda was wonderful daughter and was very close to her family. She was a babysitter and had a very close relationship with Jace who she watched for many years. She enjoyed working in her flower bed, fishing, and going shopping with her mom. She will be greatly missed but fondly remembered by her loving family and many friends.

Wanda is survived by her loving Mother, Betty Blackwood of Elwood, Sister, Kathie (John) Tuck of FL, Brother, Larry Blackwood of Elwood, Nieces, Neanessa Blackwood, Dori (Roberto) Alberty, Brandi Tuck, Nephews, Shaine Blackwood, Matt (Katie) Tuck, Aunts, Jean (Harold) Benson and Frances Mullins, Uncle, Jack (Beth) Buie, several great nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Wanda was preceded in death by father Floyd Blackwood and her Brother, Randy Blackwood.
Memorial service celebrating Wanda's life will be at 6:00 pm Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at Dunnichay Funeral Home, Elwood, with Pastor Michael Deutsch officiating. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service on Wednesday, from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm, at Dunnichay Funeral Home, 1113 S. Anderson Street, Elwood, Indiana.
